The great Wall of china was built to keep people from Mongol, Turkic and other nomadic tribes out because they use to always tried to raid china of there things they had lines of fortress to defend china (771BC) then came an era that all the seven states Qi, Chu, Yan, Han, Zhao,Wei and Qin started to make a wall but not in one direction but four, all of them difference length to a few hundred miles to one or two hundred miles. The Qin dynasty was where it all began, Emperor Qin told his laborers to connect the walls to make the great wall (221-206BC). Then the Ming dynasty further constructed it continued it he strengthened it and made it to a larger scale a put the wall to its highest peak. This Wall was so big that it took 1,000,000 soldiers to protect this wall the the chief of military was stationed in the garrison-towns and the lower officials and soldiers were stationed in the defensive beachhead, Guan Cheng Ming's great wall was approximately 33 feet but took one more dynasty to finish. Now the wall dos not have military functions but ancient engineering work but still a great structor and the wonders of the medieval world if one of your structures are on the wonders of the world list if you are an architect you know you have made it in the world you a architectural genius

Secrets of terracota

Emperor Qin had the title First Emperor and was arguably the best emperor in the history of China. He became in regin as emperor for 11 years (221-210BC) and king of state for 26years (247-221). The diffrence between the two is that the king of state is in charge of a state and emperor is the leader of a dynasty, that is why the time that Emperor Qin ruled was called the Qin dynasty. He lived for 49 years (259BC-210BC), and died of ingesting a mercury pill, Amercury pill is filled with a mercury syrup giving him mercury poisoning. This man was eldest not of two siblings, his brother Li Si who thought he could better maintain supplanted. Before he became an Emperor he came from a family of merchants. Everyone thought that emperor had good qualities from his parents he was nice and generous but no one really knows. The great Emperor Qin had many kids and many wife's, he insisted on having them buried with him alive and his sons were told that there dad had committed suicide. Emperor Qin had two major achivments. In my eyes the the first was the terracotta warriors and the second was the start of building the great wall of china. A little fun fact about the terracotta warriors is that they where buried near the tomb of Emperor Qin and the great wall took about 2000 years to rebuild, remodel and extend. It took up about three dynasty's to build. Over these few weeks I have learned so much about him. He is a very interesting person and if you have to do a assignment about a ancient Chinese Emperor do Emperor Qin
